Technical Study of Economic Feasibility of Deploying a Wind Generator on the JK Campus
Abstract
Wind energy has been developing more and more in Brazil and around the world. This energy is characterized by having very little environmental damage. The main objective of sustainable development is to find an optimal level of interaction between three systems: environmental, economic and social. The proposed work aims to prepare a technical study of economic feasibility for the implementation of a wind turbine at Campus JK, UFVJM, in Diamantina. For the feasibility study, the consumption of electricity was analyzed, from 2016 to 2022, where the values of consumption cost and monthly energy demand were collected. With the help of economic evaluation tools, it was possible to create consumption projections that were later compared to the possible financing values of the wind turbine. In the end, it was possible to conclude that the investment is viable, when compared with the future values of consumption of conventional electricity.
